Brennan Center for Justice
State constitutions increasingly have become the frontline for expanding individual rights. In 2022, the Brennan Center enlisted me to manage the launch of State Court Report — including a new website, editorial systems, and audience-growth strategy. The publication now reaches 50,000+ subscribers and over a million website visitors.

Lynx LLC
Colorado's small nonprofits and media organizations want to reach audiences on creator-driven platforms like Instagram and TikTok — but the landscape of Colorado creators was largely unmapped. I authored a field report documenting that landscape and developing a taxonomy for understanding creators, published in February 2026 with Colorado Media Project.

Colorado Media Project
Responding to federal funding cuts, Colorado Media Project is supporting a coalition of public media and local stations. I worked with Colorado Public Radio, Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting, and Rocky Mountain Community Radio to develop successful grant proposals, on collaborative state government coverage and shared digital tools.

Associated Press - Democracy Initiative
The AP's philanthropy funded Democracy Initiative extended election journalism to 200+ local and nonprofit newsrooms. As program manager, I managed funder relationships and coordinated across editorial teams. I also co-produced a national journalist training series with the American Press Institute. The program drove 10,000 downloads and 5,000 image requests in the 2024 cycle. Read more.

NYU Cybersecurity for Democracy
As strategic communications lead for NYU's Cybersecurity for Democracy, I translated complex research on digital platform transparency into narratives. I developed talking points, testimony, and opinion pieces, helping shape public and policy debate at a pivotal moment for the field. In addition, I served as product manager for the Ad Observatory, a tool for tracking digital political advertising. Read more.

Colorado Media Project
Colorado Media Project launched in 2018 as a community driven initiative to strengthen local news and civic information. As founding director, developed strategy, governance, and fundraising infrastructure. I oversaw partnerships with media outlets, libraries, universities, and civic organizations. The project continues to catalyze collaborative journalism funding. Read more.

First Draft
Heading into the 2020 election, local journalists needed training to identify and counter digital disinformation. I designed First Draft's 2020 Local News Fellowship — a five-state program training journalists across Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin — and co-authored Misinformation in Your Backyard, a field guide that became a resource for journalists and trainers. Knight Commission on Trust, Media & Democracy
In 2018, the Aspen Institute and Knight Foundation convened a bipartisan commission to examine eroding public trust in media. I designed the public engagement strategy, launching and editing a Medium publication that broadened the commission's reach and created a channel for public response. Read more.

Internet Archive - Political TV Ad Archive
The Internet Archive's Political TV Ad Archive made tens of thousands of political ads from the 2016 elections freely searchable. As managing editor, I led the launch, cultivated editorial partnerships, and drove outreach to journalists, fact-checkers, and educators. The archive became an essential resource during the 2016 race, cited by the Washington Post, New York Times, Atlantic, PolitiFact, and more. Read more.
